The Googoosh "Now Ruz" concert was an evening of nostalgia for  Iranians and other nationalities who like myself had enjoyed her music in Iran during the sixties and seventies.   It was made all the more poignant by the 20 year gap in her singing career.  As the treasure trove of old and new songs unfolded during the course of the evening emotions ran high ranging from joy to sadness.  Googoosh proved again what a superb performer she is after such a long absence, touching the hearts of the spectators who could not help but shed a few emotional tears.  A brilliant performance by Googoosh and her international backing group - I hope that this is not the last we will see of her in Britain and that she will return again and again.
