“Wow! Your hair looks great!”

“Why thank you, it’s Googoosh style!”

Yes, Googoosh style. Ever since this glamorous princess hit the stages more than forty years ago, everybody wanted her style. However, it was not just Googoosh’s clothes that intrigued other people, it was her overall marvelous personality and class. Personality, oh my God, for-get-about-it! Sometimes in news media we hear that some big name star attacked a reporter or the star, out of their anger, said some malicious words to the reporter. Then that reporter went straight to the press and publicized the “bad-side” of that big star. Well, Ms. Googoosh is not your average star, and Ms. Googoosh gets drilled with questions everything she walks out of her house. Nevertheless, I have never heard of Googoosh brawling with a reporter that got on her nerves, come on, we are talking about Ms. Googoosh. When Googoosh speaks she is very meticulous with her choice of words, making sure to satisfy the question, but never insulting another party, even after they have done the same. Now these were just a couple examples of Googoosh’s class and ineffable personality, let’s now get into her style.

Back in the 1970’s in Iran, all that Googoosh did, the nation and sometimes the world did. She was the icon of all icons. Girls wanted to be her, and boys wanted her. She had just the exact formula for a princess: class, looks (oh my God, does she have looks), character, talent, skills, manners, morals, and just the most vivarant way of living imaginable. With all these amazing qualities, it not hard to wonder why the world was shadowing her every move. The hair, what Googoosh wore her hair like was what was “in.” If you did have the newest Googoosh do, then well you didn’t have anything. For those people that had the money, they would try to buy replicas of Googoosh’s dresses to wear, even though almost all of Googoosh’s dresses were made personally for her. She was the “in” and if you didn’t realize that, then you would be in the “out!”

A woman of all women, she has it all. For those reasons, I would like to thank you Googoosh, from the women’s point:  thanks for keeping our fashion alive and original. From the men: thank you for showing us what women beautiful women can do to a man.
