As Googoosh begins giving her long awaited fans their second serving of her world-famous concerts. People start to think, is this such a great idea? Before I begin to really getting into this article, I would like to say that no matter how old or how many times I have or will see Googoosh perform; I would always go to her concerts. Actually, the idea for this article came to me as I sat with one of my friends, that said a return tour for Googoosh would not be as “Ahh” as the first. This has to do with the idea that the first time she held her concerts after 20 years was so amazingly-outstanding and people have such magnificent memories from it that they would not like to have them replaced by anything. However, I think that her next concert will just be as good as her first, I mean, c’mon, its Googoosh we are talking about here.
I don’t know how many times I have said this, but I adore Googoosh. I have heard all her songs at least a few times each, not a hundred. I will always got to her concerts and will always buy her albums. The thing that people are somewhat skeptical about is that they do not want to modify their original memories of Googoosh on stage. The first time that they saw her appear on stage, crying, in front of thousands of yelling fans. See most Persian singers have a concert about once a year or more, and none of them are to the caliber of Googoosh’s. So you won’t remember a concert that “X” had last month in 20 years. But it is almost impossible for me to forget the first time that I saw Googoosh perform on stage. It is engraved in my head. Unfortunately the way the human mind works is that it gets bored of something, no matter how great, to too fast. So the idea is that if Googoosh has a concert about once a year, then people will get bored of her. However, this would be true of every other known singer instead of Googoosh. I think that if Googoosh performs for another 100 years, her concerts will still sellout and they will never ever get tiring, like I said, c’mon, it’s Googoosh.
