She
is still on fire! She is hot (knock on wood)! Since her first
concert back after more than 20 years, on July 29, 2000,
Googoosh is still on fire. In America it is said that everyone
has his or her “15 minutes of fame.” Well I guess it is a
little different for Persians, or maybe just Googoosh. For
Googoosh, it is more like “15 years of fame,” and even more
to come. She is still the greatest singer that ever existed and
by the way people are still buying her albums and things, people
haven’t forgotten. It was one year about a week ago that I
went to my first Googoosh concert. Before that concert I loved
Googoosh, now, after the concert I adore Googoosh. She is my
all, and obviously I was not alone. Her record sales are still
just sky rocketing. People are buying CDs of songs that they
already have to make their Googoosh collection the most
complete. I just bought 138 of Googoosh’s songs, most of which
I already own, on 11 CDs. Now my Googoosh collection is
complete. Moreover, it is not just her songs that are selling;
it’s her videos too. The first concert that she held in
Toronto was just released for sale all over the Internet and
stores. People can’t wait for the other concerts to come out
so that they can own them all. I myself, own many of her old
videos, but will soon start to collect the new ones. Her market
is still hot and Persian retailers are well aware of this. Any
Persian web site out there, even if they have nothing to do with
music at all. Will be selling some kind of Googoosh merchandise.
It is a “gold mine,” that will not go dry for much time to
come. Is this a bad thing? I don’t think so, why would
it be. People are making money selling Googoosh merchandise to
people, like me, that want Googoosh merchandise. The thing that
I want the most is a nice looking Googoosh T-shirt. There are a
few that are out there, but none of them have enough Googoosh on
them. Another thing that I want, but still unable to find are
stickers for my car.

that say Googoosh, or have her picture on them, cool, um? There
are so many Googoosh things that I would love to have. If it
were up to me everything, from my TV to my kitchen table would
be Googoosh. Googoosh merchandise has yet to cool off. Googoosh
fever is here to stay. People just honestly cannot get enough
Googoosh. There are many amateur Googoosh collectors like me.
But there are people out there that would blow their life
savings for their love of Googoosh. Those are the people that
are making these merchants rich. The way I look at it is this, I
don’t drink, smoke, or do drugs. So with that money that I am
saving, why not enjoy buying Googoosh merchandise, much like a
hobby. Hey it works for me.
